The world is made up of narrative. Every narrative we are either unconsciously conditioned by or consciously attached to weaves the fabric of the lens that we experience our life through.

The dominant narratives that pervade humanity are rooted in white-supremacist, colonial, patriarchal ideologies that have severed the mind-body connection and objectified the Earth and her creatures, women, queer and trans people, and black, brown, and indigenous people.

Spirituality, mysticism, health, wellness, and mindfulness pursuits and interests in the United States and the rest of the western world are tied to imperialism and capitalism.

inherently attached to these oppressive ideologies that seek liberation for the self, the individual, not the collective.

Yoga, Tantra, mind

The majority of people in the world are under the spell

What an individual thinks, how they express themselves and communicate with the world around them, and what actions they take all weave the fabric of their life and existence. Not only does it affect them individually, but it has an impact on other people, our Earth, and her creatures as well.

Various philosophies, schools of thought, religions, and cultures have their own unique ideas of what they consider to be morally superior, in harmony with nature, or in alignment with their perception of God. In order for this to be achieved, however, specific actions need to be taken.

In the Shangpa Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhist Tantra, the word Tantra means “weaving light with sound and form.” The essence of this Tantric lineage involves practices that simultaneously connect visualization and bodily movements with the vibration of sound. The purpose of the practices taught in Tibetan Buddhist Tantra is to free oneself and all other beings from suffering.

Whether we are aware of it or not, all beings are perpetually weaving the fabric of reality. At any moment, however, the fabric that an individual is weaving into existence can change in quality. We can make the choice to unravel how our minds and bodies have been conditioned by weaving a new quality of life into existence through our words, speech, and actions. However, we can usually only do this safely when we are privileged; in other words, have most of our basic human needs met. When someone has the ability to transcend and transform their life in this way, it is not only a privilege, but a sacred responsibility and a call to be of service to the health and well-being of all.

Alexandra Paretta is a lot of things. She is a multi-dimensional, multi-disciplinary teacher, writer, poet, healer, and activist. Her main areas of focus are the intersections between sex, spirituality, and anarcha-feminism. Her work is deeply intimate and doesn’t shy away from what is often considered radical or taboo. Her ideas are polarizing and potent, calling for extreme resistance and abolition of violent and oppressive systems and ideologies, namely, white supremacist capitalist patriarchy and colonialism.

She is a trauma-informed holistic sexologist that approaches her work through a somatic lens. She highlights the importance to reintegrate the wisdom of the body that has been intentionally severed to serve the interests of white supremacist capitalist patriarchy and colonialism.

She weaves archetypal psychology found in mythology and astrology to help people connect to and understand the identities, roles, dynamics, and stories present in their lives in order to connect more deeply to themselves, their purpose, others, and life itself.

She purposeful and intense, but always invites tenderness and humor in to painful moments.

Her mission to teach, guide, and inspire those who desire to liberate themselves from the oppressive confines of the gender binary, connect to the freest, most authentic expression of their sexuality, and embrace nurturing, interdependent relationships, and convert spiritual beliefs into political action.

I consider myself a book in a library. My knowledge, my teachings, and my words, only offer what I have personally been educated on in addition to wisdom from my lived experiences. Although I am committed to collective liberation, I am still informed by my unconscious biases as a white, queer cisgender woman who is primarily able-bodied. I am not an authority figure on any of the subjects I engage with, and it would be in your best interest to not treat any so-called experts as such either.

Take what you like and leave the rest. As a teacher,

Do not assume I have plagiarized or stolen ideas from other people. First, I always give credit where credit is due. I have no problem being very clear and transparent about where the information I have comes from. I am not a gatekeeper nor do I desire to use knowledge as power for my own benefit. Second, it’s very easy for people who are interested in similar intellectual pursuits to come to the same conclusions that other people have also come to before them. The belief that ideas or “discoveries” can inherently belong to one person or group of people comes from a dominating colonizer mindset that doesn’t want to share, therefore, scarcity and competition become necessary in this type of system.

Do not treat me as an authority figure or an expert on any of the subjects I talk about. If you went to the library and were wanting to learn about a subject, you wouldn’t just pick out one book and assume that that one book contains everything you need to know. There’s an entire anthology of books, written by different people from different backgrounds through a different periods of time to be cross-referenced. Do not treat me as the library itself. I am just one book in the library. Every teacher is also a student. I cannot, nor can anyone ever have all of the knowledge and wisdom in the world. I reserve the right to be a student and to speak in rough draft.

Understand what an opinion is. My morals/values plus the information I possess = my opinions. My opinions will differ from your opinions if our values differ. My opinions will differ from your opinions if the information I possess, and the information you possess are not the same.

Witches cast spells, not to do evil, but to promote changes of consciousness.

Witches cast spells as acts of redefinition.

To respell the world means to redefine the root of our being. It means to redefine us and therefore change us by returning us to our original consciousness of magical-evolutionary processes. This consciousness is within us, in our biology and in our dreams. It works on subliminal levels, whether or not we are aware of it, because it is the energy of life and imagination.

When we are aware of it, it works for us, as the energy of destiny. And it is powerful, with the genuine power of biological life and cosmic imagination.
